Ms. Elizabeth Yeh is the publisher and editor-in-chief of the Canada China News. Ms. Yeh has over 20 years of combined experience in media production, planning and management in private and public sectors in both China and Canada.

With a bachelor's degree in English language, literature and translation from the Shanghai Foreign Languages Institute, and a master of science degree from the University of Toronto, Ms. Yeh founded the Trans Pacific Interface Inc. (TPI) in the late 1980s. TPI launched various education projects with China, including 120 health promotion titles endorsed by the Chinese Health Ministry and the Chinese Medical Society. A former TV host and cultural enthusiast, Ms. Yeh founded the Chinese Culture Centre of Ottawa, and continues to serve as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

Ms. Yeh became the publisher of the Canada China News in the early 2005, and has assumed the role of editor-in-chief since July in the same year. Ms. Yeh is also the radio host for the "East Meets West" programme,highlighting Chinese music and feature interviews at CHIN Radio International, the first multicultural radio station in Canada.

   

Ms. Liman He is Managing Editor, responsible for the daily production of the CCN newspapers. Liman's writings appear with the pen name of "He Ru" in each of the CCN issue.
An award winning magazine editor in China, Liman's investigative reports were recognized by European countries for its sound analytical and research skills. Liman was also a leader in several national research projects, and the editor-in-chief for the national Chinese Information Retrievals Journal in the Light Industry.
From a literal family, Liman has a love for writing since she was very young. Joining the Canada China News in early 2005, Liman is committed to the quality prints for the CCN publications.



   

Mr. Yang Li is the Graphic Designer / photographer for the Canada China News. Born in Beijing, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in multimedia and theatre arts from the University of New Brunswick, Yang joined the Canada China News in early 2005.
Yang has work experience in media production and theatre arts, including the 2004 Sarah Brightman World Tour (Beijing), 2001 The Three Tenors Forbidden City Concert (2001), CCTV MTV Music Award. A university recipient of "Achievement Award In Drama", Yang's art talents include composing, acting and directing, with his theatrical design posting at the official website of the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.



   

Mr. John Shen,based in London, Ontario,is a columnist for the Canada China News. His exclusive column has appeared in every issue of the CCN's weekly publication since 2000. John's column covers a broad range of subjects, with in depth analysis on various topics from politics to economy, from business to entertainment.
Graduated from the Beijing University (Peking University), John has over 10 years of work experience as a journalist and news editor at the China State News Agency Xinhua (an equivalent of CBC). John's writings have been published in several Chinese major newspapers and magazines, and have also authored several books.
After immigrating to Canada, John earned a MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. His work experience includes media with the CFMT TV, hi-tech with Nortel and finance with the Investors Group. Running his own business, John manages to find time to keep his hobby in writing.



   

Dr. Michael Zheng,based in Shanghai,is a regular contributor for the Canada China News. His finance column apears in the Section on "Business & Economy".
A recipient of McGill University visiting scholarship, Dr. Zheng earned a Ph.D degree in Political Economics from Shanghai-based Fudan University, as well as a MBA from the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Zheng has broad international experience in Canada and in Shanghai as a foreign investment advisor, focusing the Chinese financial market.
With in depth knowledge and years of financial experience particuarly in the Chinese market, Dr. Zheng brings his readers with the most recent news and insight on the Chinese economy.




   

Mr. Jeffrey J.Q. Yao, a founding member of the Canada China News, is a senior advisor at the Canada China News. Mr. Yao came to Canada in the late 1980s, hand picked by the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, for his superb translation and literal achievements, which have been placed at the top in China.Mr. Yao earned his Master of Arts degree from Beijing University, an equivalent of Oxford in China, with majors in English literature and Chinese language.
Taught English Literature and Translation at the Beijing University, Mr. Yao has translated over 10 books and more than 30 short stories. Translations include famous authors such as James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, Graham Greene, John Updike, Bernard Nalamud, as well as Canadian authors like Stephen Leacock, Norman Levine, and Brian Moore.
Mr. Yao won numerous prestigious awards in the 1980s and 1990s, with awards including the First Prize in the National Literary Translation Award in the mainland China, the First Prize in translations of prose as well as poems in the Liang Shiqiu Award in Taiwan.
